I met Dr. Gachiani today for the first time. My son who is 12, has Chiari Malformation type 1 and a cyst in his spine. We were hoping for no surgery at this time. Dr. G explained everything in detail to me about why surgery is needed, not emergent, but still needed due to my sons symptoms and the cyst. He took the time to show me the images and explained what each image was showing. This was after he had to run over to the hospital for an emergency. His staff came right in and alerted me to the situation and I was more than happy to wait for them. They checked on us throughout and was always very gentle and sweet about everything. The lady at the check in desk went out of her way to make sure I had some type of copy of the insurance card from my sons insurance from his father. I am extremely happy with the time the staff took to explain things and the procedures that were needed to be completed before we can work on the surgery date. They have eased this worried mama for now. Thank you all!

Dr Gachiani is absolutely the best. From his wonderful warm handshake to his complete explanation of surgery that could give me pain relief, I felt totally safe and confident in electing back surgery with him. Best neurosurgeon EVER. I saw 17 different ones all across US ( very complicated cause of sciatica) b4 seeing Dr Kline at LSU who he trained under. So I HAVE HAD MY FILL OF NEUROSURGEONS. He gave my life back. This is a Critical Care Nurse writing this (speciality post transplants) of 43 years ( plus every other speciality except ER OF 43 years experience) writing this. Des Moines Iowa misses him we are lost in Midwest without him. I WOULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE to have him do my surgery. I walked off my OR table in my room post op after double EMERGENCY laminectomies PAIN FREE n home next day. NEVER ANY COMPLICATIONS 3 surgeries he has performed for me. Took care of his patients and never saw a complication ( despite yes it happens) . MISS HIM BUT WILL TRAVEL 24 hours to have him as my surgeon. HE IS THE BEST AND KINDEST HUMAN EVER . TAMPA YOU ARE SO LUCKY GOD BLESS THIS MAN. IOWA MISSES HIM ?. TRUST ME I WILL BE TRAVELING TO SEE HIM TO FIX MY NECK NOW. HE IS THE ONLY NEUROSURGEON I WILL LET DO MY SURGERY. THE BEST. What a wonderful and kind doctor/surgeon Dr Gachiani is. He is amazing! He just performed my 6th lumbar spine surgery about 2 weeks ago, and I am doing way better than I did after more than 2 years post op from my last surgery nearly 3 yrs ago. Dr. Gachiani is a Godsend; he removed a tumor from my brain and did not cause any damage to any of my faculties or nerves. He even made an almost unnoticeable scar on my head, leaving most of my hair. He is a gifted neurosurgeon who abswers questions and spends time with his patients. Doctor Gachiani saved my life literally, I came into the er with numbness in my hands and feet and really bad headache and neck pain, they did an mri and discovered I had no spinal fluid down the middle of my back but I also found out I had chiari malformation, Doctor told Mr if I had waited longer I'd be dead or pairazled he was the only Doctor that listened to me and reasursed that my symptoms were real, Thanks Dr. G for saving my life, because of you I get to see my daughter grow up

My appointment was in time. The staff was friendly and professional. The doctor is very knowledgeable and I like how he speaks on a level of my understanding. And he gives you time to ask questions and he answers them.
