The campus is great but lacks discipline. I don't have experience of other centres but at this centre, a few people were not following the noble silence that disturbed many others, sometimes a single person can easily disturb 3 rows.
The overall experience was great, be it related to stay or food.

If I talk about the Vipasna experience, I'm not sure if we can make any changes or not!! But for the first timers, going through mental roller coasters ride, they don't have clarity why they should be silent for all days, how this will benefit them at the end of the program.
The documentary that they show on the 10th day gives a lot of motivation and understanding to the people but if they share insights on Day-0 about the importance of following the process, it would be really helpful.
All in all, I'll definitely join for the second time because after completing the course, I have now the clarity and understanding of why it's important.

I was there because i was badly affected by depression. And my obsession to be better as soon as early lead me here in the Vipassana centre but it adversely affected me because that's the not correct time for me to be there with my suffocating thoughts. Therefore i left the retreat in the meantime.Although I don't have doubt over the techniques. And planning again to go there and learn the techniques of liberation from my mental drama.

As a foreigner, I felt really well doing a Vipassana course at this centre. I believe they are used to deal with foreigners, so the communication is easy and direct. The food served is indian food but the levels of spicyness is very manageable. Actually some of my favorite food I ate while in India was here. They also have western toilets. I really liked the location and the centre's atmosphere. Recommend!

I would like to share my enthusiastic review of taking a Vipassana course. This course was incredibly transformative and an immersion into a world of deep self-exploration and meditation.

First of all, I would like to note the organization of the course. Everything was excellently organized, from the staff who were friendly and welcoming, to the actual course location, which was cozy and peaceful. Everything was thought out to the smallest detail to create a comfortable and supportive atmosphere for all participants.

The main part of the course is the practice of Vipassana, which is based on observing sensations in the body and developing a deep mind. This technique is an extremely powerful tool for understanding your mind and emotions. During the ten days that the course lasted, I was able to fully immerse myself in this practice and learn a little more about myself every day.

One of the most valuable aspects of the course was its rigorous nature. Throughout the course, we observed silence and detachment from the outside world. This allowed me to fully focus on my inner world and feel the meditation. Although it was a challenge, I felt that it helped me gain a deep understanding of my thoughts and emotions.

In addition, the instructions and guidance provided by experienced teachers were incredibly valuable. They helped me overcome various difficulties and problems that I encountered during my practice. The teachers were available for advice and support, which helped a lot in my journey of self-discovery.

As a result of taking the Vipassana course, I felt a deep inner transformation. I became more aware and present in the present moment. My ability to focus and deal with stress has improved significantly. I learned to observe my thoughts and emotions without judgment and attachment to them, which allowed me to find inner freedom and harmony.

The Vipassana course also taught me to appreciate simplicity and prioritize inner well-being. I realized that true joy and happiness come from within, and do not depend on external circumstances. This was especially meaningful to me as I used to often strive for material and external success, but now I have realized that true happiness comes from acceptance and love for myself and others.

Finally, I would like to point out that taking a Vipassana course is not an easy task. It requires patience, perseverance and openness to new experiences. However, all the effort put into this course will certainly be rewarded. I feel I have gained skills and tools that will serve me throughout my life.

All in all, taking the Vipassana course has been an amazing journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth. I recommend it to anyone who seeks a deep understanding of themselves, establishing emotional balance and finding inner harmony. This course has the amazing ability to transform lives and bring lasting value and well-being to every aspect of your being.

Five stars for nothing.

1. Cult , maybe a benign one. AT s repeat whatever SN Goenka says. Cannot ask questions but have to accept asinine logic.
2. Puts down other religions to prop up his own ideology. Implies there is something wrong with each of us.
3.Sexist , women are treated strangely. Everyone needs to cover up with a scarf ? Men cant sit on a mat used by a woman.
4.Claims to be non sectarian and non dogmatic but constantly pushes sectarian beliefs and imposes dogma.
5.The management there needs to do Vipassana on an urgent basis. Might calm them down.
6.The chanting is horrible.

There are quite a number of interesting takes on SN Goenka's technique , I suggest everyone to read David's take here
